The Redmi K40 Gameplay will power with the Dimensity 1200, when it launches next week. Despite being part of an already established lineup, it will be essentially a new mobile phone with new cameras, design and other hardware.
One of them is shoulder keys for play, which will appear from the side after a slider is pulled. Here is a neat video from Redmi that explains how this works.
The brand says the keys are so good for snapping that they can even be used as toys when the user is not playing. They give a clear sound every time they are pressed and closed with a magnet, providing much better feedback than existing solutions.
Trigger On • Off Off
According to the Weibo post, the shoulders are extremely sturdy, and they’ve been clicked 1.5 million times without guilt. Thanks to the close-up photos in the video, we can also see that the frame will be metallic, as well as the actual shoulders, while the back panel appears to be made of glass, which would enable wireless fast charging.
