Xiaomi’s MIUI skin is easily one of the richest skins for Android phones. Over the years, the company has refined its skin a lot, which is why it has amassed a lot of fans in many regions.

The company’s latest version of the skin is called MIUI 12 and was announced on April 27, 2020 and has since been pushed to almost every eligible Xiaomi phone.

Having said that, because MIUI 12 is widely available on 31 phones, most of us assumed that the next step for Xiaomi will be to release the MIUI 13 update.

However, it seems that Xiaomi has not yet finished with its MIUI 12 skin. Since its initial release, the company has constantly added new features and improvements through software updates.

And recent developments indicate that the company is now preparing to release MIUI 12.5. You can read more about the next update by going here.

The MIUI 12.5 update is expected to feature some new features, enhancements and UI enhancements, however it will not be as important an upgrade as MIUI 11 to MIUI 12.

Of course, Xiaomi will keep most of the main issues for the MIUI 13 update, which is likely to start sometime next year.

Not much is known about the upcoming MIUI 12.5 update at the time of writing this, but we expect to see some features and UI changes that have been tested as the PDF converter in the Gallery app, a revamped UI in some sections, and more to add with the new skin.



So to help you track all the developments on MIUI 12.5, we have devised this page to track all Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices that will get the stable update of MIUI 12.5.

As our tracker for MIUI 12, we will share details for all region-based ROMs, i.e. China (CN), Global (MI), Europe (EU), India (IN), Indonesia (ID) and Russia. (UK).

Xiaomi may release the MIUI 12.5 update along with a new Android version for some phones, while others may get the new skin without the blast in the Android version.

Update 1 (December 14)

13:20 pm (IST): Xiaomi executor. claimed that the MIUI 12.5 update will offer stability and optimization improvements to phones prior to the MIUI 13 update. See more details here.

09:35 (IST): The latest MIUI 12 beta update has brought new features to the floating window and the Control Center. It is likely that these features will be made available to the public through the MIUI 12.5 update. Go here to check the full coverage.
