The new rule will apply to restaurants with more than 10 branches
Please note that this new FSSAI rule will apply to restaurants with more than 10 chains. On this basis, companies operating central licenses or operating restaurants in more than 10 locations are required to provide calorie information on their menu cards. Also, on the menu card, it should be written how many calories are enough for a person.
According to this notification of the Government of India, it is necessary to provide information about the nutritional value of the item along with the menu card, display board or booklet. Food chains that sell pizza, burgers like Pizza Hut, Domino’s, McDonald’s, etc. should also talk about the calories in their food. 100 grams of burgers have 25 calories
100 grams of pizza has 2260 calories and 100 grams of burger has 25 calories. An average active adult person needs 2000 calories of energy daily, people’s calorie needs may vary according to work. This way, when writing down their nutritional value on each food item, it knows how many calories can be taken.
