Realme X2 Pro gets a new update with a December security patch

Realme is quite a phenomenon in the smartphone. The brand, which started as an Oppo subsidiary, quickly became a separate brand with a multitude of competitive devices around. In 2019, the company took a major step in the segment by introducing its first flagship Realme X2 Pro. The device was one of the best options last year for those users who were desperately waiting for a good flagship. Even today the device is alive and thanks to constant updates, many users do not need to be replaced. Today the company launches a new update that brings security patches from November and December 2020 as well as new software features. Of course, the update also addresses some annoying bugs and issues.

The update has a firmware version RMX1931EX_11.C.34, and if you’re excited about the “11” don’t be. It is still based on Android 10, as the device is still entering the beta app Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. Of course it is eligible for the update, but we don’t expect to see it until late 1st 2021. According to the update change log, the update brings a new icon for phone calls via Bluetooth headsets. Moreover, it allows users to turn off the flashlight during display by briefly pressing the switch button. Last but not least, it optimizes the experience by using a fingerprint + face to unlock.

As mentioned, the update brings a combination of security patches from November and December from Google. Of course, the phone will display the latest monthly patch in the settings menu. The update also addresses crash issues, blinking issues and a problem with the synchronization while using a clone phone. The update is launched for users step by step. Therefore it may take a few days to reach all eligible units. For more details, check out the complete change log below:
