An order to reduce the speed of vehicles has been implemented on the Yamuna Expressway from 12 noon on Monday. The maximum speed of vehicles on this expressway will be 75 km / h by February 15. Previously it was 100 km per hour. Heavy vehicles will also be able to run at a speed of 0 km per hour instead of 80 km.

The Yamuna Authority has urged the JP Infratech and the police working on the expressway to abide by the new speed rules. Fog lights will also be installed at the entry and exit points of the expressway. NEA CEO Dr Arun Vir Singh said that there was a possibility of an accident on the expressway due to the landslide. With this in mind, the maximum speed limit of the vehicle has been reduced. Toll booths will be increased to accommodate more vehicles over the weekend.

Distributes leaflets at entry-exit for warnings
Boards will be placed on expressways at various places from Greater Noida to Agra. Leaflets will also be distributed to drivers at the entrances and exits of expressway, toll plaza and highway facilities. Each toll plaza will announce speed limits and caution during foggy times. The message will also be broadcast on FM radio. New reflector tapes will be installed along the expressway.
