Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother is seeking early bail in an alleged child molestation case; read details | News about Indian film

The youngest brother of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui Minazuddin Siddiqui has transferred here a special court POCSO seeking early bail in case of alleged molestation of an underage girl in his family eight years ago. Accepting Minazuddin’s appeal, Special Judge Sanjive Kumar Tiwari scheduled for December 16 to hear it.

In the case filed by Minazuddin Nawazuddin’s estranged wife against their family members, the Allahabad Court earlier in October stopped the arrests of the actor, his two brothers Fayazuddin and Ayazuddin, and mother Mehrunissa.

However the Supreme Court gave no assistance to the brother of the actor Minazuddin in the case.

Minajuddin’s counsel, Nadeem Zafer Zaidi, said his client had sought help from the POCSO court since the arrest of other co-defendants in the case had already been interrupted by the high court.

The case, alleging harassment of a minor child by one of the actor’s three brothers in 2012 with other family members ignoring his behavior, was presented by the actor’s estranged wife this year on July 27th.

The case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Law on Protection of Children from Sex Offenses. After the official registration, a magistrate also recorded the victim’s statement under section 164 of the CrPC, in which she upheld the allegations in the case.
