Kaagaz: Pankaj Tripathi will play a living man who was pronounced dead in official records in the movie Zee5

Pankaj Tripathi will play a character inspired by Lal Bihari Mritak, a man who struggled to prove he is alive after he was pronounced dead in Uttar Pradesh’s country revenue records, in a new film titled Kaagaz. Directed by Satish Kaushik, will appear on Zee5 on January 7.

The satirical comedy, which will be a commentary on the country’s deficient system of resources, will also star Monal Gajjar, Mita Vashisht, Amar Upadhyay and Satish Kaushik in leading roles.

In a statement, Pankaj called Kaagaz a “brilliantly written” film. “It’s a curious, black comedy and depicts a common man’s humorous journey about an identical crisis. My character will be completely different from some of my recent projects and I am glad to be a part of such an inspiring story. This story needs to be heard and I am sure Zee5 will give it the achievement it deserves, ”he said.

Director Satish Kaushik, who also plays a pivotal role in Kaagaz, said, “I remember reading the first time about Lal Bihari Mritak’s story in the news, I was fascinated and inspired by his journey, so I researched a lot about the events that took place in his life. In the end, it seemed to me that this story deserves to be told to the world. “

He founded the Mritak Sangh realizing that there were many others in the state suffering a similar fate.

Kaagaz is presented by Salman Khan Films with Satish Kaushik Entertainment Production and produced by Salma Khan, Nishant Kaushik and Vikas Malu. In addition to an online release, the film will also appear in select theaters in Uttar Pradesh.
