India vs. Australia: ‘He’s fine with Shami and Bumrah’ – Kaif picks bowler who could be third Indian pacifist – cricket

There has been a lot of talk about who will partner Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah as India’s third tailor in the Test series against Australia since Thursday in Adelaide. Bumrah and Shami are expected to be the preferred ambassadors for Virat Kohli, and with India unlikely to play two spins, and Ishant Sharma is not part of this series, the launch for the third sailor will be between Navdeep Saini, Umesh Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed .

Umesh is an experienced activist for India in Tests, picking up 144 wickets from 46 Tests, while Saini and Siraj still represent India in Tests. But inconsistency prevented Umesh. Saini and Siraj showed sparks in the two warm-up games against Australia A, but as did Umesh, which makes the situation fool the team board. However, if Mohammad Kaif was the choice of India’s third tailor, the former Indian batsman knows exactly with whom to move forward.

“For me, it will be Umesh Yadav because Ishant Sharma is not there who played a major role when India won the series last time. He froze very well with Shami and Bumrah, the three fast bowlers plus Ashwin plus Vihari part time out. Ishant Sharma bowled with the new ball, ”Kaif said on the Sony Sports Network.

“He gave the early hits, grabbed Finch or bowled. He was always after Finch. He used to set the tone and after that Shami and Bumrah did their job.”

Umesh played eight Tests in Australia, picking up 27 wickets, with a best 5/93 during the 2011/12 tour, which India lost 0-4. He collected 11 wickets from three Tests in the 2014/15 tour and made a good outing against Australia at home in 2017, where he scraped 17 wickets in four Tests. In the 2018/19 tour, Umesh played only one Test, in which he selected two wickets. In Ishant’s absence and behind his display in the practice game against Australia A, where he took 3/48, Kaif thinks Umesh is India’s best bet.

“Umesh did well in the practice match. So, he can be a good substitute. He was sometimes erratic, but he played 45-46 Test matches. He has the experience and has previously toured Australia, ”added Kaif.

“He has the build, he is known for his fitness, he can also cast the long spells and will not get hurt or unfit. That is also an advantage for him. So in my opinion India has to accompany Mohammed Shami, Bumrah, Umesh Yadav and Ashwin in the first test match. “
