ICC announces Women’s World Cup 2022 in India to launch campaign against qualifiers

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 on Tuesday. A total of 1 matches will be played in this tournament. The first match of the World Cup will be played in March 2022 at the Basin Reserve in Wellington and the final in April 2022 at the Hegeli Oval in Christchurch, New Zealand. India will start their campaign on March 6 against the qualifiers.

The semi-finals will be played at Brightchurch and Wellington, while the final will be played at Brightchurch. India will play a total of seven games in this World Cup. Four games are against New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and England and the other three games are against the qualifiers which are yet to be decided. India will lead Mithali Raj in this World Cup.
