(Reuters) – Modern Inc said on Monday it had been informed by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) of some documents relating to pre-shipment talks about its COVID-19 vaccine candidate illegally accessed in a cyber attack against the drug regulator.

The EMA, which evaluates medicines and vaccines for the European Union, said earlier this month that it was targeted in a cyber attack that also gave hackers access to documents related to the development of the Pfizer Inc and BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Modern said its submission to the EMA does not include information identifying individual study participants and there is currently no information that any participants have been identified in any way.
